Suat Serdar completes permanent move to Verona

Suat Serdar’s time as a Hertha BSC player has come to an end. After spending last season on loan at Hellas Verona, the Serie A side have exercised their previously agreed buyout clause to sign the 27-year-old on a permanent deal. “Suat put in some strong performances in Serie A at Verona last season, and we’re very happy for him. We would like to thank him for his contributions in blue and white and wish him all the best for the future,” said Hertha sporting director Benjamin Weber.

The four-cap Germany international moved to the capital club in the summer of 2021 and made 69 appearances for the Old Lady, scoring seven goals and setting up a further two. Serdar previously turned out for FC Schalke 04 and 1. FSV Mainz 05. His stint in Italy is his first abroad, and his journey is set to continue in Verona.
