Fabian Reese signs until 2028
Fabian Reese has signed a two-year contract extension which will see him remain at Hertha BSC until 2028. “We know how much worth Fabi has for us – he’s a key player and leads by example on and off the pitch. He identifies fully with Hertha BSC, our values and our philosophy. The fact that he’s signed is a real statement, and at the same an incentive to work meticulously towards our goals,” says sporting director Benjamin Weber. Our number 11 is pleased, too: “I feel very much at home at Hertha BSC and with the fans. I want to put down a marker with my contract extension. I believe in the goals and future success of our team and I want to get Hertha back to where they belong: the Bundesliga.”
The 26-year-old joined the Old Lady from Holstein Kiel last summer and captured the hearts of the fans from the off. In 23 appearances, the former Germany youth international has scored 10 goals and assisted 14 more, giving him the most goal contributions of any Hertha player this season. So far in his career, the forward has played 13 games in the Bundesliga, 182 in the 2. Bundesliga and 14 in the DFB-Pokal.
