Marc Kempf set for spell on the sidelines

Marc Kempf sustained a ligament injury in the match against SpVgg Greuther Fürth on Sunday, and will be out of action for the time being. The defender will definitely not be in the squad for the home fixture against 1. FC Magdeburg on Friday, 16th February (18:30 CET).

The 29-year-old scored a brace for Hertha in their 2-1 win on matchday 21, before coming off injured in the 67th minute.

Kempf has made 66 appearances in competitive fixtures for BSC throughout his time at the club, during which he found the net four times and provided one assist.
