Off to Spain
Hertha headed to Spain on Sunday (7/1/24) for their week-long training camp in Alicante. "We will work hard and train at a high intensity," declared Pál Dárdai before the flight. After a few sessions earlier in the week, plus the friendly win over Aue, the work now continues in the south of Spain.
Dudziak, P. Dárdai and Maza on the plane
24 players and three goalkeepers made the trip to Alicante. Robert Kwasigroch had to stay behind due to illness, but Jeremy Dudziak, Palkó Dárdai and Ibrahim Maza are back involved. Coach Dárdai has brought U19s defender Tim Hoffmann and U17s player Boris Lum with him.
Fabian Reese, who is not yet fit enough to return to training, will stay in Berlin, as will Agustín Rogel and Bence Dárdai, who will work with fitness coach Hendrik Vieth back in the capital. "Bence will do some running so he is ready to train with us when we're back," said the boss.

Two friendlies
The team will play two games during their stay in Spain. First up is a match against Belgian side KV Mechelen on Wednesday (10/1, 15:00 CET). That is followed by a clash with Rangers the day before departure (13/1, 16:00 CET). Both games will be live on HerthaTV.
