Haris Tabaković joins Hertha BSC
Haris Tabaković has joined Hertha BSC from Austria Vienna, putting pen to paper on a three-year contract until 2026. “Haris has proven he can pose a real threat on goal in the last years. His height and physicality will be good for our attack,” said sporting director Benjamin Weber. “I knew immediately that I wanted to join Hertha BSC,” said Tabaković, who will wear the number 25 shirt.
The 29-year-old is able to play as a centre forward or as a second striker, and is coming off a season in which he scored 17 goals in 29 Austrian Bundesliga games for Austria Vienna. He netted 45 goals in 46 second division games for SC Austria Lustenau in the two previous seasons. The Switzerland native also played in Hungary for Debreceni VSC and Diósgyőri VTK, as well as in his home country for Grasshopper Club Zürich, FC Wil and BSC Young Boys.
