Dodi Lukébakio joins Sevilla FC
Dodi Lukébakio has completed a move to Sevilla FC. “There are no doubts about Dodi’s talents as a footballer. However, the truth is that all those involved knew at the start of the season that we would soon part ways. We wish Dodi all the best in Sevilla and want to thank him for his efforts at Hertha over the last years,” sporting director Benjamin Weber said about the Belgium international, who scored 11 goals and provided four assists in 32 Bundesliga games last season. “I have featured in more competitive games for Hertha than for any other club. That’s why I will always have a connection to this club. I would like to thank everyone who supported me here and wish the club all the best,” said the 25-year-old.
Lukébakio has been capped eight times for his country, and moved to Berlin in 2019. He went on to feature in 100 games for the Old Lady (28 goals, 18 assists). The striker spent the 2021/22 season on loan at VfL Wolfsburg, having also had stints at Fortuna Düsseldorf, Watford FC, Sporting Charleroi, Toulouse FC and Anderlecht.
