Hertha BSC release Alexander Schwolow
Hertha BSC and Alexander Schwolow have agreed to released the goalkeeper from his contract at the club, which was set to run until 30th June 2025. “We discussed the situation with Alex and tried to find a solution over the past weeks. We have now found one. We thank him for his efforts and wish him all the best for the future,” said sporting director Benjamin Weber. Schwolow said, “I wish the entire club all the best for the future and that they are soon able to return to the Bundesliga.”
Schwolow joined the Old Lady in 2020 from SC Freiburg, going on to feature in 55 competitive games for the club. He spent last season on loan at FC Schalke 04.
