Four back for the start of the week’s training
In the shape of Márton Dárdai, Prince Boateng, Marco Richter and Stevan Jovetić, Pál Dárdai welcomed four players back for the first team training session of the week ahead of the home game against VfB Stuttgart on Saturday (06.05.23, 15:30 CEST). Only Jessic Ngankam (illness), Tjark Ernst (individual training) and Kélian Nsona (light training) were absent from the 27-man training group which also included the two Bundesliga debutants from the weekend, Ibrahim Maza and Veit Stange.
Focus on the attack
After a video session at 10:45 CEST, the team took to the pitch at Schenckendorffplatz. After an intensive warm-up, there were several nine-vs-nine on small pitches. “The boys have to learn to push out more bravely. Because of that, we will be working on attacking this week,” said Pál Dárdai, stating the plan for this week’s sessions which will all be behind closed doors. Shortly before the end of the 70 minute session, Jovetić showed how Hertha’s play upfront can work. After a lovely combination, Marco Richter played the ball to the striker, who skilfully drove the ball home. This hopefully will be repeated on Saturday!
