Sami Allagui in new role at Hertha BSC
Sami Allagui will be working with the first team and taking over the position of head of team management with immediate effect. The 36-year-old will work as an important contact person for the coaching staff, players and backroom staff, while bringing his experience as a former player to the daily running of the club. The striker played in blue and white from 2012 until 2017.
After his playing career, he has worked with a range of departments at the club in the last year and a half as a trainee in preparation for the role. “We are pleased that we have been able to get Sami for this important role in and around the team. He knows about the running of a professional team as a former player, speaks lots of languages, is an absolute team player and will be an important link between the coaching staff, players and backroom staff with his professional qualities and personable manner,” explained sporting director Benjamin Weber.
