Daishawn Redan departs Hertha BSC
The club have terminated Daishawn Redan’s loan to FC Utrecht, which had been in place since the summer, instead agreeing an immediate transfer to Venezia FC for the 21-year-old striker. “This is the good solution for all parties. We wish Daishawn all the best for the future,” said sporting director Benjamin Weber.
Redan arrived at Hertha from Chelsea in summer 2019 and made a total of eight appearances for the first team. He also played 13 times for the club’s U23s (5 goals, 3 assists) and once for the U19s. His spell at Utrecht was his third in the Dutch Eredivisie since arriving in Berlin, with the Amsterdam-born forward also having loans at FC Groningen for half a season in 2020 and then at PEC Zwolle for 2021/22. The 2018 European U17 Champion is now set for his first venture in Italy.
