Krzysztof Piątek joins Salernitana on loan

Krzysztof Piątek will spend the upcoming season in Serie A after joining US Salernitana on a season-long loan. The loan includes an option for the Italian side to make the move permanent. “The transfer allows all parties to find a solution that everyone is satisfied with. We thank Krzysztof for his commitment during his time here and wish him all the best,” said board member for sport Fredi Bobic.

The forward joined Hertha in January 2020 from AC Milan, 18 months after making the switch to Serie A with a move from KS Cracovia to CFC Genoa. The 27-year-old make 58 competitive appearances for Hertha, scoring 13 goals and registering four assists. Piątek spent the second half of last season on loan at Fiorentina and has won 23 caps (10 goals) for the Poland national team.
