Dedryck Boyata leaves Hertha BSC
Dedryck Boyata has joined Belgian Pro League side Club Brugge K.V on a permanent basis. The agreement was reached between the two clubs on Monday. "Dedryck has his accomplishments for Hertha BSC. He captained the team for the past two seasons and played his role in keeping from getting relegated last season. That is how he will be remembered. We do, however want to go another direction. We told him this in an open and respectful conversation. With the move to Bruges, we have found a good solution for all parties involved. We sincerely thank Dedryck for his commitment and wish him all the best for the future," explained sporting director Fredi Bobic.
The 31-year-old came to Berlin in 2019, joining from Scottish side Celtic. The Belgian since played 76 competitive games for the Alte Dame, scoring six times.
