Omar Alderete joins Getafe on loan

Omar Alderete will leave Hertha BSC and join Getafe on loan. The Primera División club also have an option to buy. “We would like to say thank you to Omar for his time at Hertha BSC and wish him all the best for the future,” said sporting director Fredi Bobic.

The Paraguay international moved to Berlin in October 2020 from FC Basel. Previously, the 1.88m-tall centre-back played for CA Huracán and Club de Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata in Argentina, as well as Club Cerro Porteño in his home country. Alderete made 17 Bundesliga appearances for the Blue-Whites, before spending the 2021/22 season on loan at Valencia. He will now return to Spain once again.
