Marco Richter unavailable

Hertha BSC have been dealt some sad news ahead of the club’s trip to England. Marco Richter will be unavailable for the time being. A urological examination revealed a tumour on the testicle, which will have to be surgically removed. A final diagnosis is yet to be made. The club will inform fans of Marco's progress when further information is known. Until then, we ask that Marco's privacy is respected. “Marco has absolutely all of our support in this situation. We hope that he can recover and be back with us as quickly as possible,” said sporting director Fredi Bobic on Tuesday.

Marco Richter joined Hertha in summer 2021 and has made a total of 33 appearances for the club across all competitions, scoring six goals and registering two assists.
