Hertha BSC tie Julian Eitschberger down to a long-term contract

Julian Eitschberger has committed himself to Hertha BSC. The defender signed a contract valid until 2026 on Tuesday in the capital. “We’re delighted that we’ve been able to secure the long-term future of another player from our academy. We want to give him all the support we can as his professional career develops. He’s got the talent and the mentality, and we want to keep helping him,” said Fredi Bobic.

Bundesliga debut in 2021/22

The 18-year-old joined our academy in 2017 and made his Bundesliga debut in 2021/22 after playing for our U17s and U19s. The defender was also part of the U19s side last season that made it all the way to the final of the German Championship. He is currently preparing for the new season with the first team.
