Zeefuik joins Blackburn Rovers on loan
Deyovaisio Zeefuik will play his football in England for the rest of the season. The wide player will make the move to Championship side Blackburn Rovers, who have an option to sign the Dutchman permanently. “The possibility for Deyo to move to England came up in the last few days, and he wanted to take the chance to gain more playing time and develop his game. We came to an agreement with Blackburn that worked for all involved, and we wish him all the best for his new challenge,” said sporting director Fredi Bobic on the move.
34 games and a goal of the season
The Amsterdam-born wide man joined Hertha in the summer of 2020 and has played 34 games in the Blue and White. He scored his first and to date only goal for the “Old Lady” in a 3-0 win at home to Bayer Leverkusen in March 2021, a curling effort from outside the area which was voted by fans as Goal of the Season. Before moving to Berlin, Zeefuik played for FC Groningen and AFC Ajax, signing his first professional contract at the Dutch record champions, and has represented his country at U21 level. We wish Deyo all the best for his new adventure in Lancashire!
