Dennis Jastrzembski leaves Hertha BSC
After six and a half years at the club, Dennis Jastrzembski has departed Hertha BSC. The left-sided player has joined Śląsk Wrocław on a free transfer with immediate effect. “For a player his age, match practice is the most important thing for development. His chances of that were limited here, so we granted his wish of a transfer. We would like to thank Dennis for his time at Hertha BSC. He will definitely have some great memories from his time here, particularly of winning the U19 German title in 2018,” commented Fredi Bobic on Tuesday.
Germany U19 champion in 2018
Jastrzembski, born in Rendsburg, joined our academy aged 15 from Kiel in 2015. His performances for our U16s, U17s and U19s earned him a professional contract in April 2018, making him the first player born this century to sign one. A particular highlight from his time at the club came around a month later, when he was part of the team that won the German U19 championship. “DJ” featured 16 times for the first team in the league and cup, recording two assists. All the best in Poland, Dennis!
