Jordan Torunarigha departs on loan

Jordan Torunarigha has signed on loan for KAA Gent with immediate effect and will spend the rest of the season in the Belgian first division. The deal does not include a buy option. “Jordan came to us with the request of spending the rest of the season elsewhere. I’m confident that after 15 years at Hertha BSC, this change of scenery will help his development and that he’ll come back to us stronger,” stated Fredi Bobic.

At the club since 2006 – took part in the Olympics

The left-footed defender has been at Hertha since 2006. Having played for all of our youth sides, the centre-back made the step up to the first team in December 2016 after signing his first professional contract. Since then, our number 25 has featured 81 times in all competitions (6 goals, 5 assists). The 24-year-old’s performances have also seen him called up to represent Germany’s youth sides, playing 30 times for the various age groups. Torunarigha played in both the 2017 U20 World Cup and the Olympic Games last summer for his country.
