Kélian Nsona joins Hertha BSC!
The Blue-Whites have taken to the transfer market once again in January and signed Kélian Nsona from French Ligue 2 club SM Caen. The 19-year-old attacker, who plays mostly on the left wing, has moved to the capital on a contract until 2026. “Kelian is a young player who has an enormous amount of potential to develop. At 1.89 metres tall he’s a big lad and brings bags of pace alongside his technical ability. He fits our profile for wide players very well as he can play both on the left and the right,” explained sporting director Fredi Bobic on Monday. The new man himself is really looking forward to his next chapter here in Berlin: “Hertha BSC are a big club in Germany and they really impressed me. I really feel that my move here will help me make the next step in my career. I had good chats to the executives and I’m looking forward to the tasks ahead,” he said.
Experience in Ligue 2 and French junior national teams
Born in the Ivry-sur-Seine area of Paris, Nsona first picked up his boots at US Ivry, before moving to the youth setup at Paris FC. After five years in their academy, he moved to SM Caen, and after two years in their U19 team made the step to the first team in July 2019. Over the last two seasons, Nsona has made 37 appearances for the side currently 14th in Ligue 2, scoring twice. The wide man has also represented his home country at U17 and U18 level, playing 15 times in total and scoring two goals. That’s all the past, though – now Kélian Nsona is playing in the Bundesliga, as a Herthaner!
