Jordan Torunarigha out with muscle injury

Jordan Torunarigha would have hoped for a different outcome from his first start of the new season. The centre-back picked up an injury in the first half of the away game at VfL Bochum and was taken off at the break. A diagnosis on Monday confirmed that the 24-year-old will miss the next few weeks with a thigh injury.

Sunday was Torunarigha’s second appearance of the season, following a six-minute cameo against Wolfsburg. To date, the number 25 has made a total of 76 games for the ‘Old Lady’, scoring six goals and recording five assists.
