Daishawn Redan moves to PEC Zwolle on loan

The Amsterdam-born striker will return to his home country for a year to join Eredivisie club PEC Zwolle. “The main thing Daishawn needs at this stage of his development is game time. To that end, this loan deal makes a lot of sense for everyone involved,” explained managing director for sport Fredi Bobic on the striker’s departure.

Moving between the Regionalliga Nordost and the Bundesliga

Redan, who was part of the AFC Ajax academy before moving to the youth setup at Chelsea in England, moved from London to the German capital in 2019. After aprofessional debut in the DFB-Pokal and eight appearances for the U23 squad in the Regionalliga Nordost (4 goals, 2 assists) in his first six months, he spent the second half of the 2019/20 season at FC Groningen in the Netherlands. After five games there, the Netherlands U21 international returned to Berlin, playing seven times in the Bundesliga and five more times in the Regionalliga Nordost (1 goal, 1 assist).
