Jessic Ngankam moves to Fürth on loan

Striker Jessic Ngankam has joined SpVgg Greuther Fürth on loan for the 2021/22 season. “It’s important for Jessic that he gets as many minutes in the Bundesliga as possible, so this move will be a good step for his development,” commented managing director for sport Fredi Bobic. “I’m looking forward to hopefully gaining lots of experience in Fürth. This is a great opportunity for me to play regularly at the highest level,” said our academy product.

Massive winner in Gelsenkirchen

The Berlin-born attacker has been at the club since 2006 and played for all age groups in our academy. Ngankam has been part of the first-team squad since May 2020, scoring two goals in 19 Bundesliga games, including a huge winner in the 2-1 victory at Schalke at the end of last season to all but seal Hertha’s safety.
